2. Famous quotes from the Opium War
During the Opium War————Lin Zexu
Lin Zexu, whose surname is Lin, whose given name is Zexu, and whose courtesy name is Yuanfu. It means learning and imitating, and Xu refers to Xu Sizeng, the governor of Fujian. Yuan Fu means following the example of Governor Xu Sizeng.
Lin Zexu’s famous sayings:
The sea accepts hundreds of rivers, and it is great to have tolerance; if there are thousands of feet standing on the wall, it is strong to have no desire.
If my descendants are like me, they will do nothing with their money. If they are virtuous and have more wealth, they will harm their aspirations;
If you want to benefit the country, you will live and die. How can you avoid it because of misfortunes and blessings? How can you be so generous? If you have no desires, you will be a master for a hundred generations. Martial arts are used to defend frontiers and repel tigers and leopards, and essays and reasoning are combined with poetry. To be an official, one must be upright in mind and body, and have a reputation for unparalleled achievements.
If the strength is weak and the responsibilities are heavy, the spirit will be exhausted for a long time. If it continues to be exhausted and mediocre, it will definitely fail.
If you only care about life and death for the benefit of the country, why should you avoid it because of misfortunes and blessings? Relegated residence is the result of the kindness of the king, and it is appropriate for the garrison to support the weak and strong. Talking stories with the mountain's wife, trying to chant will kill the old scalp.
If you have bad intentions, your feng shui will be useless; if your parents are unfilial, it will be useless to serve the gods; if your brothers are at odds, it will be useless to make friends; if you behave badly, it will be useless to study; if you are perverse, it will be useless to be clever; if you are arrogant, it will be useless to be knowledgeable; fortune If there is no help, it is useless to ask for it; to take money from others is useless; to give away is useless; to spare the vitality, medicine is useless; to be lustful and lustful, it is useless to have Yin stallion
Whoever can have all three lives, wisdom and blessing, it is not cheap to occupy the time. It is better to sit down and hold a branch when you realize that Youtan Tiannv is scattered.
Lakes and mountains are also filled with sweet thoughts, and the incense is unforgettable in the heart of an inch of grass. It's like in Yuantong Zen Temple, the treasure book flies over the cover and chants for a long time.
I know from afar that I am holding a Muni string in my hand, and I am still reciting the Vajra Prajna Sutra.
The husband held the Wu hook with only one hand, and his spirit was higher than that of Baichilou. Whoever writes history in the past ten thousand years wants to be named a marquis from three thousand miles away. I will surely follow the journey with swift feet, and I will chase the water gulls in my leisure time. Smiling and pointing at the moon beside Lugou Bridge, how many people will come to Yingzhou from now on? Looking back, the past has turned into dust. I am from east to west, north and south. I have been dreaming for three times in white, and I have been in blue clothes for ten years. There is no need to predict whether the poor will have their destiny, and when will the rich and the rich help the poor? The famous competition has been going on for a long time, but it still looks like an old Confucian scarf.
3. Poems about the Opium War
"General Guan's Elegy" is an ancient miscellaneous poem written by Zhu Qi, a litterateur in the Qing Dynasty.
Full poem: The hurricane is rolling in the day and the clouds are dim, and the huge ship is like a mountain driving a fire wheel. The big drum is beating on the bow of the boat, and the blue-eyed ghost slave comes out to kill people.
The officials guarding the Guangdong Pass went to tell each other, and the general of the Pass was sent to Fanghai at night. The general expected that the enemy was brave and had ten thousand ships and oars stationed at Humen.
The throat of Humen and Guangdong is extremely dangerous. The cliffs bound the two gorges and lead to an unpredictable abyss.
The waves blocked the country for 80,000 miles, leaving the captives deep and helpless. The antlers of the deer cut off the way back, and the whale Kun escaped from the net and wanted to escape.
It’s a pity that the government was cowardly and made mistakes. Dogs and sheep have been difficult to tame since ancient times. The sea waves are surging, the setting sun is darkened, and the ghosts are screaming and roaring.
Although our army has no fighting spirit, He Ge dare not move forward. The Jiangxi soldiers were so brave in the past, but now they are defeated by Hu Wangfeng? The general continued to fight with his bare hands, saying that he was exhausted and had no favors for his country.
The poor body was wrapped in horse leather, and the cannon was shattered into smoke. I have an old mother who is ninety years old. She said that the next grandson has not been born, and the edict is mourning and weeping for the rain.
I heard that the dead thief of the father and son is Chen Liansheng, and the handler is the same as Ling Xi. Sarukaku transformed into Ninja! I recruit loyal souls for paper-cutting.
Translation: Suddenly a hurricane rolled over the ground in broad daylight, the clouds were thick, and the sky became dark. Mountains of huge warships drive their motors.
The British army beat the big drum on the bow of the ship, and the blue-eyed British devils rushed out to kill. The Guangdong Guan defenders rushed to inform each other, and the imperial court sent General Guan to guard the coastal defense overnight.
General Guan expected the enemy to be more courageous than God, and stationed dozens of warships at the fortress Humen. Humen is the throat of Guangdong, and its terrain is extremely dangerous.
To the east and west stand cliffs and canyons, and below is the unpredictable deep sea. The British army was separated from the mainland by thousands of miles, and they were isolated and helpless deep in the Chinese waters.
Our army can rely on danger to form a pincer-like force to hold back the enemy, and then cut off its return path. The enemy army as powerful as a whale Kun could never escape from the big net.
It is a pity that Governor Qi Shan was afraid of the enemy and was cowardly and missed good strategies. Dogs and sheep have been difficult to tame since ancient times. The rolling sea waves reflected the dim sunset, and the enemy's screams became more and more arrogant.
Although our troops are numerous, they have no fighting spirit. They carry guns but dare not move forward. The Gan soldiers, who used to be known as brave in the past, are now able to contain the enemy and retreat in the face of the wind.
General Guan fought with the enemy with his bare hands, saying that he had failed in his strength and had failed his country. The poor general failed to return wrapped in horse leather, and the cannon turned into smoke after a shock.
General Guan has a ninety-year-old mother and an underage grandson. Poet I finished reading the edict and was so sad that I burst into tears.
I heard that Chen Liansheng and his son were even killed in the battle, and their Hanukkah Festival is like a sudden mountain. The soldiers who died heroically in battle have turned into apes and cranes, how can they bear to talk about it! I want to cut paper and compose poems for the martyrs to comfort their loyal souls.
Extended information: In January of the 21st year of Daoguang’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1841), the British invading army stormed the Humen Fort in Guangdong. Navy Admiral Guan Tianpei led his troops to fight, while Qi Shan, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, compromised and sued for peace, and had already secretly negotiated with Guangdong. The British made the Chuanbicao Treaty and did not send reinforcements. Guan Tianpei and more than 400 soldiers guarding the platform died in the battle.
The poet wrote this poem full of grief and indignation the following year. The first four lines of the poem describe the fierceness of the British invading army; "The guards at Guangdong Pass went to tell each other" and the following twelve lines describe the dangerous terrain of Humen; "It is a pity that the government was cowardly and made a mistake." The following twelve lines describe General Guan's unarmed fight. , the reason why he died for his country; the last seven sentences describe General Guan's heroic sacrifice for his country, lament the depression after his death, praise Bingbing's great festival, and express his sorrow and mourning.
The whole poem is a combination of description, narration, and discussion. It is powerful, ups and downs, and full of appeal.
4. Asking for a long seven-character poem describing the First Opium War
The white ceramics of Eastern China,
brought gold to Europe The light,
The light and thick breeze,
spreads the fragrance of blue and white flowers in London.
The white porcelain as thin as skin is attentive and inviting,
Thousands of cyan flowers salute the blue eyes.
The vast China on the edge of the Pacific Ocean,
is full of carpets of delicate peonies,
The shadow of the sun and the morning dew are hypnotizing this lazy giant. The lion,
she refused the world to approach her,
tightly closed the curtain of heaven.
The men put on cyan and gray robes,
held eight-legged articles in their arms, and swung their ancient braids behind them.
The women put on cheongsams embroidered with peonies and peach blossoms.
Shy eyes often peeked into the golden woman's breasts.
I don’t know when,
These men became obsessed with the East India Company’s opium?
They abandoned their beloved wives and children, and their thousand-year-old houses,
lying in the fragrant clouds,
praising the thriving rivers, trees, Flowers, grass, and mountains.
They teased those brilliant flower branches in their poems,
listened quietly to the happy opera in the palace,
looked towards the sun high in the sky, cheering for today's success The sky is blue.
June 28, 1840,
A day that will forever be remembered as the pillar of shame in human history.
The British gunboats blocked the Pearl River port,
using shells filled with Chinese gunpowder,
passionately kissed the haggard dreamer.
Yilu shouted wildly and poetically on the battleship:
"Come on, lovely oriental beauty,
Come on, I want to kiss you !
My wife will wear clothes made of cocoon silk tomorrow,
I want that brilliant cotton to weave my veil.
I want to smelt that. The seven-colored ore,
let it make machines for me,
to produce shining silver. ”
My poor motherland, my heart aches. Your pain,
I see the explosive flame burning in your heart.
I saw your thousands of blood vessels flowing outward.
I saw the wounds all over your body, cracked and open.
The tearful eyes of your descendants spurted out the flames of hatred and helplessness,
The ancient nation fell into a dark hell.
The traitor Qishan and the cunning Yilu secretly signed the Chuanbi Grass Treaty.
The Qing Empire ceded the Pearl of the Orient - Hong Kong ,
Britain devoured six million silver dollars.
The cowardly Qing Empire faced the battle in panic.
Guan Tianpei and the soldiers regarded death as if they were home.
The figure standing upright under the blue sky was like the spirit of Mount Tai.
The common people, wrapped in commoners, raised the banner to fight against the invaders,
In Sanyuanli, primitive spears, broadswords, bows and arrows,
To annihilate the ravages of invaders.
Those rude thugs pressed forward on foot,
burned, killed and looted all the occupied places,
delusional to incorporate China's ports into British territory.
However, the invaders who invaded from Wusongkou encountered tenacious resistance from the seventy-year-old veterans Chen Huacheng and Hai Ling.
Their hands were waving blood-stained flags,
Their bravery was like rushing to the fortress in the sky.
The dark corpses of soldiers were like erected ladders.
People waiting for sacrifice climbed up one after another.
Karl Marx, with a trembling pen,
earnestly praised this heroic resistance:
“If these invaders were met with the same resistance everywhere ,
They will never get to Nanjing”
5. Ballads about the Opium War
Poems about the Opium War
Opium. As a shameful record of China's first failure to resist Western aggression, the war not only exposed the corruption and incompetence of the Qing regime, but also announced the profound crisis China was facing. It caused great shock in people's hearts. This period left behind many poems that exposed current ills and expressed concern for the country. As records of the times, they have special significance.
Lin Zexu (1785-1850), who is famous for his smoking ban in Humen, is not famous for his poetry. However, due to his status and experience, his poems are of great value in understanding the situation before and after the Opium War. . When he was exiled to Yili, he wrote "Going to the garrison to tell his family at the entrance" and "Comment on leaving Jiayuguan", etc., which expressed his enthusiasm for caring about current affairs and dedicating himself to the country. In the previous poem, "If you live and die for the benefit of the country, how can you avoid it because of misfortunes and fortunes?" is a sentence he often recited, from which we can feel the thoughts of an upright politician.
Among the poems that reflect the historical facts of the Opium War, the famous one is Bei Qingqiao's "Dudu Yin", which consists of one hundred and twenty quatrains. As a record of what the author saw and heard while serving in the army of General Yijing, these poems are highly authentic in exposing the corruption and backwardness of the Qing army and reflecting the life and psychology of the soldiers. In addition, Zhang Weiping's "Sanyuanli" records the process of the villagers besieging the British invading army in Guangzhou's Sanyuanli; Zhu Qi's "Elegy of General Guan" praises the patriotic general Guan Tianpei, both of which are well-known. There are many similar poems, so I won’t mention them all. This type of poetry often has the weaknesses of simple ideas and straightforward narratives, and the issues involved are mostly superficial. But they not only reflect the features of that special period of history and people's grief and anger, but also further promote the trend of using poetry to discuss current affairs since Gong Zizhen.
The form of poetry has also become freer, less rigid in rhythm, and the language is mostly accessible and straightforward. This type of poetry is also influential in the change of poetic style.

6. Those famous poems written by Lin Zexu
Hello
Lin Zexu (August 30, 1785 - November 22, 1850) , a native of Houguan, Fujian Province (today's Fuzhou City), with the courtesy name Yuanfu, also known as Shaomu, and Shilin, and his late nicknames were Qicun Laoren, Qicun Retired Old Man, Seventy-two Peak Retired Old Man, Pingquan Jushi, and Lishe Sanren. He was a politician, thinker, poet, and national hero in the Qing Dynasty. He was a first-rank official. He served as governor of Huguang, Shaanxi-Gansu, and Yunnan-Guizhou, and was twice appointed as an imperial envoy. In 1839, when Lin Zexu was banning smoking in Guangdong, he sent people to investigate and secretly investigate, forcing foreign opium merchants to hand over their opium, and the confiscated opium was destroyed in Humen on June 3, 1839. The destruction of opium in Humen plunged Sino-British relations into a state of extreme tension and became an excuse for the British to invade China during the First Opium War. On November 22, 1850, Lin Zexu died of illness in the old county of Puning. Lin Zexu's works include "Yunzuoshanfang Notes", "Yunzuoshanfang Poetry Notes", "Lin Wenzhong's Notarial Certificate", "Lin Zexu Collection", "Lin Zexu's Letters", etc.
Hope you adopt it!
