He ordered his followers to conceal the evil spirit and report falsely to the Heavenly Master for eradicating the plague, and was rewarded by Renzong.

The first chapter of "Water Margin" contains a description of a tiger:

The tiger's fur is golden yellow, its claws have eighteen silver hooks, its eyes are like lightning, its tail is like a whip, its mouth is like a bloody basin, and its teeth are like a halberd. It stretches its waist and arms in a ferocious posture, sways its tail and shakes its head with a thunderous sound, like a fox and rabbit in the mountains. Everyone hid when they saw it, and there was no trace of the roe deer in the stream.
