Appreciation of couplets in the Hall of Harmony in the Forbidden City

Couplet of the Hall of Harmony in the Forbidden City:

At that time, I rode six dragons to protect myself from the sky

It is used to apply for five blessings, and the tin pole is always shining

p>

Interpretation:

The sun rides six dragons and moves in the sky forever, and there is no rest in the place of the Holy King.

The monarch won the support of the people because he widely spread the five blessings, which shows that the monarch's virtue must be persevered.

This is a plaque that I like very much, especially the first sentence that shows Qianlong’s grandeur. When I first came across this sentence, I didn’t quite understand what it meant, but even though I didn’t quite understand it, I kept it in my mind after I read “The Six Dragons are in the Force to Control the Sky, and There Is No Escape”. Finally one day I I found out the meaning of this sentence. After careful consideration, I feel that this sentence is of great reference significance. We can never be comfortable in a certain place. A positive life should be a life of constant struggle. Qianlong wrote this couplet from the position of an emperor, encouraging himself not to be obsessed with comfort and enjoyment, but to constantly think and make progress, and to be prepared for danger in times of peace. Putting this sentence into the current era is a wise saying that our young people should remember. The sun rides six dragons and moves forever in the sky. There is no place of comfort where we are. We should work hard to develop in our daily life and enjoy this different feeling during our struggle.
