This early work pays tribute to Kamen Rider, the first work in Kamen Rider series in 197 1, and has its own characteristics. After the transformation, the protagonist doesn't call the knight's name like the title of the previous work, but is called "Kamen Rider", that is, not "Kamen Rider Sky", but his real name is "Skyrider", and the original windmill belt and basic transformation actions are also adopted.

In the early stage of this work, when the weirdo was eliminated, it was not the "explosion" of the past, but the "disappearance"; Killing skills are not original skills in the past, but "knight kick". But in the later period, the route changed and the former knights returned one after another. The title of the protagonist was changed from "Kamen Rider" to "Skyrider", and the "explosion" after the elimination of weirdos was adopted, and the "knight kick" was changed to "sky kick" again.
