This sentence was originally written by Liang Shiqiu, from his article Children. The source of allusions should be Wang Anshi's Shang in Song Dynasty. This article records that young people are very talented, but because they are content with the status quo and do not strive for progress, they become bigger and bigger, more useless and mediocre. Although there is no complete sentence in Shang, "Teenagers have the reputation of prodigies, but they have little ambition, are long and nameless, and eventually rot with plants and cover ordinary people, that's all", but this sentence is actually a summary of Shang's ideological content.
