Why? Is it the distance between time and space that makes Lu Xun's image look higher in the eyes of future generations than that of contemporary people who are close at hand or not far apart? It is true that the closer time and space are to great men, the greater the weight of objects will be. Therefore, Zhou Haiying would mutter to himself, "What kind of father!" This is by no means because of naive innocence. Until recently, I read Zhou Haiying's words about his father's memory, and I can still see that his great father and mother have no equal position. No wonder he got too close to great men. It was boring. When the Japanese writer Saito Kiyoo, who faces across the sea, respects Lu Xun as "the first master in the East", the scholar who seems to be the first in the atmosphere near Lu Xun denounces Lu Xun's "decline" and "hazy ignorance" and is worthless. But the reason why I conclude that future historians will have a higher evaluation of Lu Xun than contemporary people is not here. I have two reasons, as follows:
First, the longer it lasts, the less muddy water, open fire and backstabbing, malicious flattery, intentional slander and unintentional misinterpretation imposed on Lu Xun before and after his death. People will only see the operation of the long river of history and the majestic charm of giants in history. How did he communicate with the historical atmosphere and play a brilliant role in scattering waves? Future generations no longer have grievances, love and hate, and are no longer shrouded in utilitarian thoughts of various public and private interests. More importantly, the great man or quasi-great man who lived with Lu Xun at the same time or after him has already revealed his form in the passage of time. What they have invested in history, what is right and what is wrong, can also be objectively compared with Lu Xun. At that time, people no longer had taboos and worries, and what to give him back, just like the so-called God belongs to God and Satan belongs to Satan. Comparatively speaking, Lu Xun's image is of course outstanding and tall, unlike today's gossiping.
Secondly, the reason why people are human is that they can create cultural civilization in the final analysis. All the shocking things are only temporary. War, the rise and fall of dynasties, and even the change of systems are all confined to a moment, decades or hundreds of years, just a moment in an infinite time series, while the great creation of culture and civilization is enduring, even eternal. Who remembers the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire? But people always eulogize Dante's Divine Comedy; Who remembers James I or Queen Elizabeth? But Shakespeare will always be the pride of the British; Who remembers the Grand Duke of Ma Wei and the Emperor of Vienna and the Holy Alliance? But Goethe is very clever. Some heroes seized power and ruled the world. Even if what they do is good, it only benefits their contemporaries or delays them for several years. In addition, the negative impact of this role often exceeds its positive value. Some so-called deeds are lies advocated by associates or followers, and they have to be tested by future generations. Only the creators of culture and civilization, that is, "heroes with great intentions" as romain rolland said, are the people who promote the eternity of civilization. Especially because those who are famous for their achievements are not the ability of one person, they must all participate, and they will be rewarded 100 times after completing their achievements; Only "heroes with great intentions" are independent creations. They only give and don't take, and they eat grass and milk all their lives, just like Lu Xun said. Therefore, the longer it lasts, the more people will realize its greatness in the future.
Therefore, history will eventually prove that Lu Xun was the first great man in the modern history of China, if not the first great man in China. Yu Dafu once said after Lu Xun's death that a nation that doesn't know how to respect great men is a sad nation. This is the outstanding knowledge and deep regret of Lu Xun's contemporaries. Yu Dafu saw the attack, slander and slander that Lu Xun suffered before his death. And I also saw the comments he got after his death, even positive comments, which were not satisfactory, so I sent out such feelings. For more than half a century after Lu Xun's death, he couldn't see the cutting around Lu Xun, and all this will continue until all the public and private grievances surrounding Lu Xun are swept away by history. At that time, all curses, slanders and misinterpretations of great men will peel off one by one, turn into dust under the colossus of great men, and even pile up into mountains. On the contrary, it will become a small ornament in the natural landscape of this statue. Even if it can only be trampled by tourists, it is still a precipitation of history.
However, for contemporary people who are still close to or not alienated from Lu Xun, those materials that distort and slander Lu Xun are very realistic teaching materials. From here, we can see how great men struggle and how they rely on these future dust to achieve their greatness. Even for those historians who haven't come yet, even dismissing these gray Egypt, or looking at them with pity, may arouse some sense of history. In their choice, they draw some comparative materials depicting great men. When they think of so many dwarfs of different heights in those years, they think of Han Yu's poem "Climbing over the eaves and shaking trees", which evokes some nostalgia for the past.

Now he is struggling to write Lu Xun, the most vilified person, in order to gather the scolding around Lu Xun after his death, which is also conducive to showing Lu Xun's greatness. Lu Xun said many times before his death that the reason why he wants to live is to find ways to save his life as soon as possible, not for those who love him, but for the enemy, in order to make those who are not things feel uncomfortable because he is alive. After Lu Xun's death for so long, there are still so many people cursing to prove that he is still alive, which makes some people feel uncomfortable when he is alive, and also proves that Lu Xun is immortal. Forget whether boileau or Racine said, "There are no great men in the world, and no great men will become small because of cursing." Mr. Lu Xun is verifying this sentence.
