Guqin, also known as "lyre", is often called "qin" in historical records. There is a famous line in Tang poetry, "Ling Ling on the seven strings, listening quietly to the cold wind in the pines". The "Ling Ling seven strings" refers to the guqin. The "Qin" unearthed from the Leigudun Tomb in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Mawangdui Han Tomb in the Western Han Dynasty further proves its long history. The "Qin" and the continuation of Qin music are often seen in ancient books such as "The Book of Songs" and "Shangshu" and Tang and Song poems. . It has been circulating for more than three thousand years in Chinese history without interruption, and it was only called "guqin" at the beginning of this century.
