As a class teacher, in addition to managing class affairs, it is inevitable to deal with students' parents. Suhomlinsky has a famous saying: "School education without family education and family education without school education cannot complete such an extremely delicate task of cultivating people." In the past work of carrying out home-school contact, I thought The lack of understanding and implementation of measures have made my class management and teaching work not progress smoothly. Now, based on my recent work, I would like to share some of my gains and confusions in this regard.
1. What I learned from the head teacher’s symposium - Learn to communicate with parents
1. Behind the naughty children, there must be naughty parents. Parents are their children's first teachers, and many problems in children stem from their parents' influence. Teachers should use both criticism and praise when treating students, and they should also provide guidance and encouragement when treating parents.
2. Parents often say to teachers, "I don't mind if you spank my children." This sentence conveys parents' trust in teachers, while also showing parents' attitude of shirking responsibility.
3. Learn to say to parents, "You hurt my child." Students are the children of their parents, and they are also the children of their teachers. Teachers have the obligation to point out problems that parents have in educating their children.
4. Learn to educate parents, otherwise the education will be repeated. Teachers and parents have reached a common understanding of education, which is conducive to the smooth development of school education and teaching management.
2. My growth
1. Lower your attitude and be reasonable
When ordering school uniforms, only one parent in the class expressed his unwillingness to order them. . When I communicated with this parent on the phone, he said forcefully: "I don't usually wear school uniforms. Is there any rule that requires uniforms? Is there any explicit rule?" I was speechless. I communicated with an old teacher about the problems I encountered. The old teacher told me that when communicating with parents, do not use a commanding tone to ask parents to order school uniforms. First, calmly explain the meaning of wearing school uniforms to parents, and then introduce the ordering situation of the whole class. . I followed the law, and this parent actually took the initiative to order school uniforms. Through this case, I realized that communication with parents requires skills; before communicating with parents, teachers must do their daily work carefully, lower their posture, communicate attentively, and understand things rationally. 2. Caring with heart and affection. Student Xue is a student from a difficult family in our school. When I visited his home, I learned that his parents are both in their sixties, and his father still suffers from femoral head necrosis and has limited mobility. Xue’s grades dropped sharply last semester. At the beginning of this semester, I communicated with him many times but there was no big improvement. But I basically figured out the problems that Mr. Xue had and what caused them. Problem one, eating snacks in class. The reason is that compared with other students, I use my meal money to buy snacks. Problem 2: I often get distracted while listening to lectures. The reason is that I am obsessed with watching TV at home and miss it so much. Problem 3: Homework cannot be completed. The reason is that they lack initiative in learning; parents neglect supervision and management, and children play without restraint. I communicated with Xue’s parents three times. The first time was about snacks. His mother was protective, but the child's condition didn't improve much. The second time, I contacted Xue’s father by phone and analyzed his child’s recent status. Based on his family situation, I guided him to cut off his child’s TV addiction, pay close attention to homework, arrange for his child to do the work he can in his free time, and regularly Carry out ideological education. Two weeks later, I called the parents for the third time to give feedback on the child's performance: he actively participated in class and answered questions, and his midterm exam scores were excellent. Through this case, I realized that by consistently doing our daily work in a practical and detailed manner, with a responsible attitude towards the children, with emotion, by communicating with parents in a timely and proactive manner, and by adjusting education and teaching methods in a timely manner, our class work can be improved. It's going smoothly. 3. My confusion: In terms of home-school contact, I have tasted some benefits. The road is long and long, so let’s keep going and learn on the road of education! When I calmed down and thought about it, I couldn't help but think of the lack of family education for rural children. I hope that home-school education can simultaneously hold up the sun and hope of tomorrow. Nowadays, there are many left-behind children in rural areas. Teachers always have difficulties in communicating with their grandparents. It is difficult to combine family education with school education. Many children lack positive discipline from their families (quality family education). Is it possible to rely solely on schools to educate children? Teachers rarely receive feedback from parents. How can we mobilize parents' initiative?
