Exodus chapter 13
In Exodus 13, the Lord said to Moses, "All the firstborn in Israel, whether human or livestock, will be mine. It is sacred to me. " ... all the firstborn donkeys, you must redeem them with lambs; If you don't redeem it, you will break its neck. All the firstborn among your sons must be redeemed. ? (Exodus 13: 13 NIV) The firstborn donkey here refers to us, and we are like donkeys in nature. We are born a hard, stubborn, rebellious and stubborn sinner. We don't know God and can't obey him. According to God's request, we should be people whose necks were broken and killed, but God loves us, treats Jesus as a lamb, crucifies him for our sins, and redeems us with the lamb Jesus, so that we will not perish, but have eternal life. And whether it is day or night, God will protect us, just like the Israelites walking in the wilderness. During the day, God blocked the strong light of the sun with cloud pillars, so that the Israelites could walk safely without being burned by the scorching sun. At night, God used pillars of fire to light the ground for the Israelites, so that the Israelites would not fall in the dark. God is also protecting us today, so that we can be guided by God's Word and the church day and night, so that we will not suffer during the day and fall at night.
