However, when he swore, he went back on his word and said to God: Drinking is my life. I can't give up drinking. Don't listen to the woman's words! His wife kicked him into a wine vat in a rage. After Liu Ling climbed out, she shouted "Who else?"

His daughter-in-law saw that he was so stubborn, so she simply let him go. Perhaps because she was drunk, Liu Ling was the longest-lived among the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove".
