From Re-discussion on the Fall of Leifeng Tower.
This is Lu Xun's February 6th, 1925. This article was first published in the 15th issue of Yusi Weekly.
The original content of this sentence:
It's just on the stage. Tragedy destroys the valuable things in life, while comedy tears the worthless things to people. Sarcasm is just a tributary of comedy simplification. But tragic and funny, they are all enemies of the Ten Scenes Disease, because they are destructive, although they are destroyed in different ways. If China's "Ten Scenes Disease" still exists, not only will Rousseau's lunatics never come into being, but also a tragic writer, comic writer or satirist will never come into being. All, just comedy characters or non-comedy and non-tragedy characters, live in ten scenes modeled by each other, each with ten diseases on one side.

Creation background:
The Leifeng Pagoda and the Baokui Pagoda are both in the West Lake. The Leifeng Pagoda was built by the king of wuyue for the imperial concubine at the beginning of the founding of wuyue, so it is also called the imperial concubine pagoda to mark feudal morality. Bao Kuo Pagoda was built when Haoyue was about to fall. It was built by Qian Yuankui, the king of Wu Yue, for the tribute of Prince Qian Hongchu to the Song Dynasty. Its name of "Bao" obviously maintained the feudal orthodoxy. After the Revolution of 1911, although the feudal autocracy was overthrown, the feudal system was not "extinct", and the restoration forces still existed, and the retro argument was still clamoring. It was even more difficult to clear the feudal ideology.
This article was written on October 28th, 1924, just one month after the collapse of the Leifeng Tower. When the author wrote this article, it was 13 years from the Revolution of 1911 and only 5 years from the May 4th Movement. Although the Revolution of 1911 ended the imperial rule for two thousand years, it did not change the semi-colonial and semi-feudal social nature of China. The May 4th Movement, especially the New Culture Movement at the same time, had a strong impact on feudal ideology and morality, but it was far from being completely washed away.
in the winter of p>1924, when the Beiyang warlord government strengthened its reactionary rule, and the revolutionary struggle against the Beiyang warlord government became increasingly high, Lu Xun published this article just at this time, making a big issue and making use of the topic, and its significance far exceeded the scope of criticizing feudal ethics.
