There are three stages in western feminism: the first generation feminism, which appeared in the second half of the19th century, demanded that women be equal in education and legislation, and equal with men in economy, marked by the birth of "March 8th International Women's Day". The Second Generation of Western Feminism: From the early 20th century to the 1960s, feminist movements included radical feminism, Marxist and socialist feminism and liberal feminism. The third generation is postmodern feminism, starting from 265438+ 1960s and 1980s. The third generation of post-modern feminism pays more attention to philosophical thinking beyond the category of women, with a stronger color of socialism and sexual freedom.
