There are few flowers in the border areas, and they have not been fresh for many years. Beauty falls from the sky, and the dragon fills the spring.
There are no flowers in full bloom, no warblers singing in the border, and the new year has passed without spring. Princess Yongle's marriage to the Great Wall is like a beauty falling from the sky, which should make this bitter and cold place begin to have that beautiful spring scenery.
Note: Princess Yongle: In July17, the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Yang, the granddaughter of King Dongping, was named Princess Yongle by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, and she married Li, the king of Qidan, and it never happened again.
Entering Tibet: refers to marrying into ethnic minority areas. Theron: Frontier fortress Long Ting refers to the place where King Qidan lived.
Watching Princess Yongle enter the customs with Li Shaofu:
The content of this poem is actually very easy to understand. In the first two sentences, the poet mainly describes the border area. "The border area has few flowers and is not new after years." In the desolate border, flowers and plants are scarce, not to mention beautiful warblers.
Living in such a miserable place for many years, this phenomenon has long been commonplace, and I can no longer find a little novelty.
In fact, however, the poet himself is just a bystander, and this description is mostly based on hearsay. Of course, although these are just heard, we can't doubt their authenticity.
From the standpoint of the poet at that time, we can still get some deeds related to the frontier fortress, and the hardships will naturally be told. Perhaps it is this that the poet will describe the harsh environment in the frontier at the beginning of the poem.
The next two sentences, "Beauty falls from the sky, and the dragon fills the spring", contain some exaggerated elements after the poet's previous narration.
Beautiful girls suddenly fell from the sky, and from then on, the originally desolate frontier fortress will become full of vitality. This is just a literal understanding, but it is actually very simple and meaningless.
