2: 1, the first level is the total organic volatile matter content (VOC) of coatings: VOC is the English abbreviation of volatile organic compounds, which directly harms our environment, our society and human beings. When the indoor VOC reaches a certain concentration, people will feel headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue and so on. In a short period of time, convulsions and coma will occur in severe cases, which will harm people's liver, kidney, brain and nervous system and cause serious consequences such as memory loss.
Paint used in home decoration is one of the main sources of indoor VOC. Therefore, all countries have restricted the VOC content in paints and other decorative materials. The original domestic standard requires not more than 200 grams per liter, not more than 120 grams, while the EU requires more. The original requirement is not higher than 75 grams per liter, and now it requires 30 grams. At present, most of the coatings in China are produced according to domestic standards, and those that meet European and American standards are mainly 3A environmental protection paints, such as 3A Aibaobei paint and 3A Younaijing paint. The content of volatile organic compounds is limited to no more than 2 grams per liter.
2. The second level is the toxicity of solvents: that is, those solvents that will cause diseases after contact with human body or inhalation. Toxic solvents will cause direct harm to production and construction personnel. Most organic solvents have certain toxicity, which harms human health and pollutes the ecological environment, and should be paid enough attention. With the advent of the era of low VOC, a new round of crisis began to appear in traditional organic solvents. Due to legal and economic reasons, solvents are limited in an unfavorable position because of their defects as physical substances.
They are expensive; Easy to flow around, inconvenient to clean; Most of them are flammable to a certain extent, which may cause explosion danger; Many of them are toxic ... the use of solvents around the world has caused the loss of valuable oil resources, and improper use will not pay off. Whether in terms of economic cost or environmental responsibility, paint engineers need to re-examine the paint solvent market. [ 1]
3. The third level is the user's safety: generally speaking, after the paint is dried, its solvent can basically volatilize, but it needs a process. Especially for the paint cured at room temperature, some solvents volatilize slowly. Although the amount of these solvents is not large, due to the long-term contact of users, if the solvent is toxic, it will also cause harm to human health, so the use of toxic solvents must be restricted during preparation.
4, APEO, PFOS and heavy metal ions and other standards, environmental protection paint can not contain the above harmful substances.
