In this paper, the wireless router chooses TP-LINK domain exhibition? 54M wireless broadband router TL-WR54 1G, and the wireless network card is selected from TP-LINK domain development/rapid development wireless network card TL-WN510g/550g/610g/650g series products.
First, the wireless router configuration.
1. Enter the configuration interface of TL-WR54 1G, and the default configuration in the "Wireless Network Basic Settings" interface is as follows.
2, the meaning of the parameters in the page:
SSID: The service set identifier used to identify the wireless device. Wireless routers use this parameter to identify themselves, so that wireless network cards can distinguish between different wireless routers to connect. This parameter is determined by the wireless router, not by the wireless network card. Think about it from another angle. For example, there are two wireless routers A and B around the wireless network card, and they identify themselves with SSID A and SSID B respectively. At this time, who is connected to the wireless network card is identified by the identification symbol SSID. The default SSID we use here is TP-LINK. Of course, you can change this parameter according to your own preference, and change it into an easy-to-remember number or letter, or a combination of the two.
Channel: used to determine the frequency band in which this network works. The selection range is from 1 to 13, and the default value is 6. Just pay attention to this parameter in application: suppose your neighbor's house is also equipped with a wireless network, and the channel used is also 6. At this time, in order to reduce the wireless interference between two wireless routers, we can consider changing this parameter to 1 or 13.
Mode: This parameter is used to set the working mode of the wireless router. There are two options here, which are 54Mbps (802. 1 1g) and1Mbps (802.11b). Generally, we don't need to change this parameter, just default. One thing to note is: suppose you buy our fast exhibition? 108M wireless broadband router TL-WR64 1G, then this parameter has two more options. There are four options:11Mbps (802.11b), 54 Mbps (802.1/g), 108Mbps (static) There are also two modes: static 108M and dynamic 108M. So when should I choose 108Mbps (static) and 108Mbps (dynamic)? It can be determined as follows: What if all wireless network card models connected to WR64 1G were developed by us quickly? 108M wireless network card TL-WN6 10G/650G. At this time, you can choose WR64 1G to work in the static mode of 108mbps, otherwise you can choose the dynamic mode of 108mbps or 54mbps (8000 Mbps).
Turn on the wireless function: turn on and off the wireless function of TL-WR541G.
Allow SSID broadcasting: By default, wireless routers broadcast SSIDs to the surrounding space to announce their existence. In this case, the wireless network card can search for the existence of this wireless router. If the check box here is cleared, that is, the wireless router does not broadcast the SSID, in this case, the wireless network card cannot search for the existence of the wireless router.
These are the default parameters in TL-WR54 1G "Wireless Settings". When WR54 1G is powered on, a wireless network will be generated around wr541g. The SSID identifier of this network is "TP-LINK", the working channel is 6, and the network is not encrypted. At this time, there is an unencrypted wireless network around WR54 1G, which can be provided for wireless network card connection;
Second, the wireless network card configuration
Method 1: Set the wireless network card link.
The basic setup of the wireless router has been completed. Now take WN5 10G as an example to explain how to configure a wireless network card on a computer:
1. After the installation process, you will see the normally installed network card driver in the computer device manager, as shown below:
2. At the same time, the following icon is generated on the desktop-"TP-Link Domain Development Client Manager", which is our management tool for managing network cards:
3. At the same time, we will see the following display on the taskbar icon in the lower right corner of the desktop:
4. Just like the above two icons, it shows that TL-WN5 10G has established wireless network connection with TL-WR54 1G, and the green icon is the display of "TP-LINK Domain Extension" management program; If the following icon is not displayed in the taskbar of your computer, it is because the display attribute of "Wireless Network Connection" is not selected in the right-click attribute of "My Network Places", as shown in the following figure:
5. The reason is that the red mark in the above picture has no tick! In addition, we marked the "Wireless Network Connection" property page with a red line. After clicking, there are the following pictures;
6. This option marked with a red line in the above picture is the wireless network card management program that comes with Windows, and it is not recommended. If checked here, it means that the wireless configurator included with Windows is enabled to manage network cards. This management program will conflict with the "TP-LINK Domain Extension" client management program, and the management program that comes with Windows cannot fully play the role of TP-LINK wireless network card, so it is not recommended here.
Remarks: As shown in the above figure, TL-WN5 10G has established wireless connection with TL-WR54 1G after normal installation. This is because by default, the wireless part of the operating system can automatically run, search and connect to the existing wireless access point wireless router. This process is intelligent and does not require user intervention. By default, the network card will automatically connect to the wireless router.
Method 2: Link a specific wireless route.
It is convenient to link wireless networks in a single wireless network environment, but if it is in multiple wireless network environments, you need to select a specific wireless network through settings.
1. After installing the network card driver and management program according to the user manual of TL-WN5 10G, a "TP-LINK Domain Development" management program will be generated on the desktop. Double-click to open the following interface:
2. We operate the network card through the "Profile Management" marked by the red line in the above figure. Click the "Profile Management" interface as follows:
3. Select the default configuration file marked with a red line on the left, and then click Modify (M) on the right to open a new dialog box, as shown in the following figure:
The "SSID 1:" marked in the red line above is the object we want to operate! ! The second picture in this document shows that the SSID confirmed on TL-WR54 1G is "TP-LINK", which means that the SSID confirmed by the wireless router is TP-LINK, so in the above picture, the parameter we fill in the "SSID:" column marked in the red line must be: TP-LINK! In other words: the SSID filled in by the network card should be the same as that of the wireless router!
Then click "OK" in the lower right corner to go to the previous page, and click "Current Status" to see that the network card has established a connection with the corresponding wireless router according to the SSID parameters we entered.
4. We described a simple operation process above, that is, when we know what the SSID determined by the wireless router is, we can manually fill in the SSID to guide the network card to connect to the wireless router. But from the perspective of wireless network card, what should I do if I don't know what the SSID determined by the wireless router is? Or as a network card, just aimlessly looking around for wireless access points for you to connect? How should this operation be performed? Please see the picture below:
5. From the figure, we can see the "Search (c) ..." button marked with a red line, which instructs the network card to search whether there is a wireless network available for connection at present. Click to pop up a new dialog box, as shown in the figure below:
6. The above picture has a "refresh" button. When we click the refresh button, the box shows that there are three wireless routers around TL-WN5 10G. We will briefly explain the parameters of the red line marker respectively:
"Network name [SSID]": TP-LINK, Sales and Unknown respectively.
The parameter column of the key shows that the wireless router with unknown SSID is encrypted.
"Rapid Development" parameter: If the wireless router has enabled TP-LINK rapid development technology, there will be a rapid development icon in this column.
"Domain extension" parameter: The above figure shows that all three wireless routers have enabled TP-LINK domain extension technology.
"Signal strength" parameter: this column shows that the signal strength of the first two wireless routers is 100%, and that of the third wireless router is 80%.
"Channel" parameter: this column shows that the channels of the first two wireless routers are all 6 channels, and the channel of the third wireless router is 1 1.
Wireless Mode parameter: This column shows that all three wireless routers are in the rate mode of 2.4GHz 54Mbps.
There is a circle on the shape of the signal tower in front of the wireless router icon, and the SSID is TP-LINK, indicating that TL-WN6 10G is currently in connection mode with the wireless router.
7. If we want to order TL-WN6 10G to connect to the wireless router with the SSID of Sales, we only need to click the SSID of Sales, and then click the "Activate [A]" button below to operate. The interface is as follows:
8. In the newly popped-up interface, the location of SSID 1 in the network name has been automatically filled with the SSID of the wireless router we selected, that is, "Sales", and the focus of the cursor is in the column of "Configuration File Name" by default. We can enter a name similar to TEST at will, and then click OK to return to the previous interface, as shown in the following figure:
As shown in the above figure, we can see that there are two profiles in the box of the "Profile Management" page, one is the default profile default when connecting just now, and the other is the newly generated profile TEST. The icon display is active, indicating the current and SSID of TL-WN5 10G.
