In Mangshan Yao legend, it is also called "Little Qinglong". This kind of snake is stout, its head is as big as a soldering iron, its whole body is grass green and its tail is milky white. The big one is more than 4 meters long and weighs more than 20 kilograms. This kind of snake is only found in a small area of Mangshan Mountain, and there are more than 500 snakes. The biological community thinks that it is as precious as the giant panda, and its endangered degree has surpassed that of the giant panda. Due to Mangshan's unique geographical environment and climatic conditions, Mangshan has a wide variety of snakes and extremely rich animal and plant resources.
Look at these hemlock trees. Their branches are thick and straight. They have existed for hundreds of years. Hemlock is a primitive tree species, also known as the living fossil in the plant kingdom. We have arrived at the observation deck of Devil's Village. Return. The general died unfortunately, and his soul flew back from afar because of his feelings. Seeing that the husband and wife are about to meet, he has no strength, has fallen to the bottom, and has become a stone. His wife was heartbroken and turned into a towering rock on the spot. The two huge stones are lifelike, facing each other in the mountains year after year, telling an earth-shattering and unforgettable tragic story. Standing side by side with ordinary stones, the vertical stone peak is the needle of Zhenshan, and there is a lifelike Guanyin stone Buddha on the top, which seems to stare at the strange world in the canyon.
Let's go sightseeing at the bottom of the valley. Attention, everyone, this ancient tree on the roadside is mostly rare and specially protected, including Bole tree, fragrant fruit tree, Millennium yew, etc ... Look, is that a strange stone? Tourists have been puzzled for a long time: why is there a name of "Devil Village" here? How unpleasant! As the saying goes: fame is not afraid of ugliness, as long as it is passed on for a long time. Now I can answer your question. This is a true historical story. When the Qing army searched the creek to clear the rest of Li Zicheng, the rebels blocked the source of the waterfall. When the Qing army climbed to this village valley, it was exhausted and in flight. The rebels suddenly released waterfalls, pretending to be ghosts and gods sticking their heads out of the cracks in those cliffs. Most of the frightened Qing army was swept away by the wild current, and all those who survived were shocked to say that there were "ghosts" coming out of the water here. So, "Devil Village" was called down.
