Bosten Lake is located between 86 40 ′ ~ 87 25 ′ east longitude and 465 438+0 56 ′ ~ 42 65 438+04 ′ north latitude, with a length of 55km from east to west and a width of 25km from north to south, with a water area of1646km2 (2020). Lake area is located in the hinterland of Europe and Asia, with abundant sunshine, sufficient heat and scarce rainfall, which belongs to a typical temperate continental climate.
3. Bosten Lake is a mountain collapse lake, and its main recharge source is Kaidu River, which is also the source of Peacock River. The body of Bosten Lake can be divided into two parts: the big lake and the small lake. The area of great lakes is nearly 1000 square kilometers, while the area of small lakes is only 100 square kilometers. Sui Shu recorded that this lake has "the benefits of fish, salt, cattails and reeds". Guang Mao reed grows in the lake area and is an important reed production base in China. In addition, Bosten Lake is rich in all kinds of freshwater fish and is the largest fishery production base in Xinjiang.
4. In 2002, Bosten Lake was rated as a national key scenic spot, belonging to the natural scenic spot of natural lake waters, involving Bohu, Yanqi, Heshuo and Korla. In May, 20 14, Bosten Lake Scenic Area was rated as a national 5A-level tourist attraction and became the eighth national 5A-level tourist attraction in Xinjiang.
