March 2 1 day is the international social working day, also known as the world social working day. This is a festival for social workers all over the world.

At its plenary meeting in August 2008, the International Federation of Social Workers decided that International Social Workers Day should be held on the third Tuesday of March every year. The purpose of setting up International Social Work Day is to arouse people's recognition of social work, emphasize the role of social workers and enhance their professional image.

March 27th, 2007, Dr. David. Jones, then president of the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW), launched the first World Social Work Day on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, and held a celebration with the International Federation of Social Work Schools (IASSW).

Since then, the International Federation of Social Workers has decided to choose one day every spring to hold this activity all over the world, so WorldSocialWorkDay, also known as "International Social Work Day", continues to be an annual festival for social workers all over the world.

Brief introduction of international social working day related activities

Organized by China Social Workers Association and China Social Work Education Association, the 2008 World Social Work Day and the seminar to commemorate the 20 years of social work education in China were held in Peking University from April 6 to 5, 2008. Li, vice minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, said at the seminar that social work, as a professional helping activity and occupation, has always adhered to the values of "helping others to help themselves, caring, respecting and equality".

China Social Workers Association and China Social Work Education Association are national trade organizations in the field of social work in China. They have long been committed to solving social problems, helping vulnerable groups and promoting social progress and development, and have played an important role in social and economic development.

Zhao, vice-president and secretary-general of china association of social workers, read a proposal aimed at publicizing the values of social work, promoting the practical development of social work specialty and promoting the construction of a harmonious society in China, and suggested that "China Social Work Day" be established in the name of china association of social workers and China Social Work Education Association from 2009.
