Analysis of test questions: The Atlas of the Sea was compiled by Wei Yuan, a Qing Dynasty native, and put forward the slogan of "learning from foreigners to control foreigners". Fifty volumes of the first edition were engraved in Yangzhou on June 1843. From 1847 to 1848, Wei Yuan added the atlas of the sea to 60 volumes; To 1852, expanded to one hundred volumes. Sales for more than ten years are only one or two hundred copies. It didn't get widespread attention in China, but it spread to Japan, which inspired the Meiji Restoration and became a must-read book for the emperor's ministers.
