In which article did Han Yu put forward Ming Dow?
As the leader of the ancient prose movement, Han Yu didn't formally put forward the slogan of "writing with Ming Dow" although there were words of "writing" and "biography" in his poems. His disciple Li Han summed up the relationship between literature and Tao in Preface to Mr. Changli, saying: "Writers are also tools to penetrate Tao." Actually reflects Han Yu's literary thought. Here, "writing carries Tao" means "writing carries Tao". Han Yu has said many times: "The harder you work, the better your handwriting." ("Answer to Chen Shengshu") "The more you yearn for the past, the more you can speak well." (Answer to Li Xiucai's book) Han Yu regards himself as the inheritor of orthodoxy, and the "ancient road" he admires is the way of Yao, Shun, Yu, Tang, Kong and Meng. But Han Yu is also a writer, emphasizing "Tao" rather than "Wen". Zhu's criticism that he "worked hard all his life and never left his job of writing and speaking" illustrates this point.
