Reading Band 4 is below average. The major of language arts (recitation) is divided into three grades and ten levels, namely, elementary 1-2, intermediate 3-6 and advanced 7- 10. In order to evaluate candidates' language expression ability, the expert group of talent center adopted two kinds of examination questions: "works recitation" and "narrative expression" after many discussions. "Work recitation" focuses on examining candidates' ability of listening, imitating and understanding, while "telling and expressing" focuses on evaluating candidates' thinking ability, language application ability and language creation and expression ability. These two types of questions also take into account the completion of this test within the specified time. Recitation refers to the creative activity of reading aloud and transforming written works into sound language. Recitation is an important form of oral communication, which can not only improve reading ability and enhance artistic appreciation ability, but more importantly, through recitation, readers can cultivate their temperament, broaden their minds, behave in a civilized manner and enhance their understanding.
