Since the invention of 1980, this technology has become an ace skill of ASICS, claiming that a 6-meter-high egg will not break when dropped on a silica gel material. ASICS' predecessor brand is OnitsukaTiger (yes, it is translated as Ghost Tsukika Tiger, and now it is an independent brand of ASICS' fashion line), which was founded by Japanese entrepreneur Oni Tsuka Chaitaro in 1949 and merged with two other companies (GTO and JELENK) in 1977. The name comes from a famous saying of the ancient Roman poet Euvenalis, "A sound spirit comes from a healthy body", which is a combination of the first letters of English words.
