The life and death of the country depends on the interests of the country. How can we avoid it due to misfortunes and blessings? ——Lin Zexu; Every man is responsible for the rise and fall of the world. ——Gu Yanwu.
Introduction to Lin Zexu
The poet was demoted for resisting the British and banning smoking. He was stationed in Yili far away, and he felt a sense of injustice in his heart. But before leaving, I was saying goodbye to my family. I was worried that my family would be worried, and I needed to smile to persuade them, so I forced myself to be happy in the first two sentences. However, this does reflect the poet's magnanimity and ambition to be at home all over the world. The poet is confident that he has meritorious service in resisting the British and banning smoking, and that history will draw a fair conclusion. He has a clear conscience in the face of relegation.
The two sentences "Current Affairs" are a summary of life experience. People cannot be born knowing it. If you want to accomplish something, you must go through many iterations and twists and turns, including making mistakes. This is also a lesson for the children of the family.
The couplet "Feng Tao" sneered at the British imperialists in a contemptuous tone, with no one in the country and a strong external force. However, he took advantage of the opportunity to travel around the country to understand the situation and seek ways to fight against the invaders. It is vast and majestic. The last two sentences are aimed at the capitulation faction in the DPRK and China who gloated about their misfortune and said they would never return home. He said that he would return to his hometown safely, return to the capital, and then fight the invaders.
