There was no wedding and no blessing. She was 13 years apart from her husband and stayed together for 44 years despite the opposition of the world.
Ding Ling's life has never been confined to a box. She is avant-garde, bold and unconventional. As a pioneer of feminism in China, she vowed to embark on an equal path from a society where men are superior to women. She has a feminine face and a masculine car-scrapping. Some people praised her for her broad vision and daring to break the rules; Some people think that she is unconventional and unlovable. Today, after many years, we might as well go out of our solidified thinking and cross history to see the stormy life of Ding Ling, a famous maverick writer. Figure | Ding Ling's Different Fireworks In 194, Ding Ling was born in a big family in Linyi County, Hunan Province. Her mother, Yu Manzhen, was a young lady from a scholarly family, and her father was a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty with a rich family. The elders loved and lived a carefree life. Little Ding Ling didn't know the taste of sorrow at that time. But the good times didn't last long. At the age of four, my father died of illness, leaving only some unclear debts for mother and daughter. It can be said that the death of my father is the beginning of the suffering of Ding Ling and Yu Manzhen. There is no man to support at home, no source of life, no one to lend a helping hand to the good friends I made in the past, and the life of the family is somewhat difficult. However, suffering can not crush Yu Manzhen, who is full of fighting spirit. Just then, Yu Manzhen heard the news that the third brother wanted to start a primary school in her hometown. She resolutely sold her family property, paid off the debts owed by her husband, and returned to her hometown with a pair of children and children in her womb to devote herself to education. In the old days when men were superior to women, a young widow, who went out in public and started a school, was really shocking, and her relatives and friends at home ridiculed her behind her back. But Yu Manzhen didn't care. She re-entered the school and put forward the idea of equality between men and women and saving the country through education. Mother Yu Manzhen's open mind and independent spirit had a great influence on Ding Ling. In the summer of 1918, 14-year-old Ding Ling graduated from Changde Girls' Primary School and was admitted to Hunan Provincial No.2 Girls' Normal School with the first place. Towards the end of the first school year, the May 4th Movement broke out, and the revolutionary trend struck Ding Ling's heart. She yearned for a freer and broader world, and she wanted to "fly to a freer place". So Ding Ling proposed to her mother that she wanted to transfer to Nan Zhou Girls' Middle School in Changsha, the provincial capital. Nan Zhou Girls' Middle School was a famous girls' school in Hunan at that time, with active and progressive ideas and advocating women's liberation. The enlightened Yu Manzhen agreed to Ding Ling's request. When Ding Ling was 17, she wanted to go to Shanghai Civilian College. But this trip to Shanghai was not smooth, and she was opposed by her uncle's family. It turned out that when she was young, she had to be tied up with her third uncle's cousin because of her grandmother's words. When she proposed to go to Shanghai to study, her third uncle stopped her on the grounds of marriage, hoping that she could marry her cousin after half a year. Ding Ling, who is bent on pursuing freedom, naturally doesn't want to, what's more, she has no love for her cousin. Fortunately, her mother, She Manzhen, is very supportive: "She is going to find a bright lamp and a way, and we can trust her completely. My own daughter, I believe her. I don't care where she goes. "So, with the full support of her mother, Ding Ling canceled her engagement with her cousin and went to Shanghai to study. In 1923, Ding Ling was only 19 years old and came to Peking University to attend classes. Her eyes are bright, her movements are not coy at all, and she acts frankly and smartly, which makes many men feel ashamed. It was also in this year that Ding Ling published her first novel, Meng Ke, and started her writing career. The love of three people was in Beiping, and Ding Ling met the young editor Hu Yepin by chance. At this time, Ding Ling was sad and painful for her younger brother's early death, and had no mind to cope with external communication. But Hu Yepin fell in love with Ding Ling at first sight. Ding Ling's calm and determined temperament, indomitable eyes and open manner attracted him deeply. Unfortunately, even if Hu Yepin was nice, Ding Ling was unmoved. In the spring of the following year, after living in Beijing, Ding Ling returned to her hometown. Surprisingly, poor editor Hu Yepin borrowed money to catch up with Hunan. When Hu Yepin appeared in front of Ding Ling with a dusty face, she was moved by the persistence of the poor boy, and the two began to talk about love. In 1925, they got married. Figure | On June 17, 1926, Ding Ling and Hu Yepin were in Beijing in 1927. After the April 12th counter-revolutionary trend, the ever-changing historical wind and smoke filled the sky over China, and the intellectuals fell into depression and hesitation. Hu Yepin, on the other hand, encouraged Ding Ling to continue writing, and writing became Ding Ling's outlet. Despite many twists and turns, Ding Ling finished her masterpiece Diary of Ms. Shafei in 1928. Once the novel was published, it caused a sensation in the whole literary world, and Ding Ling became famous in the literary world. With the income from writing, their lives improved. Later, Ding Ling met Feng Xuefeng, who studied Japanese at Peking University. When they first met, Ding Ling had a bad impression of Feng Xuefeng. Feng Xuefeng is ugly and rustic, which is quite different from Ding Ling's high-spirited gifted scholar in Peking University. But in the days of getting along, Ding Ling was fascinated by Feng Xuefeng's talent. They have similar views, and there are always endless topics to talk about. Feelings came quickly and violently. After only one week together, Ding Ling fell in love with this talented young man. Figure | ""lake poets "Ding Ling of Feng Xuefeng at this time has Hu Yepin around her. It is definitely impossible for two people to get along for many years without a trace of affection. She couldn't make a choice between them, so Ding Ling, who didn't take the usual path, put forward the idea of three people living together. Two men who loved her deeply agreed to her proposal and were willing to wait for her final decision. Therefore, the three people lived under the same roof and talked about "spiritual love." But on the road of love, two people are just right, but three people are a little crowded. Hu Yepin couldn't bear it anymore. He went to Shanghai to seek the help of his friend Shen Congwen and asked him how to get along with husband and wife. Only then did Shen Congwen know that the two men were pursuing "spiritual love" and even after marriage, they had been living in some kind of "polite" situation. Shen Congwen saw that Hu Yepin was trapped by emotion, but he also actively helped him analyze it. The next day, Hu Yepin returned to Hangzhou and made up with Ding Ling. The love of three people ended with Feng Xuefeng's withdrawal. Brief companionship In January 1931, Hu Yepin was imprisoned for being framed, and a month later, he was shot in secret. With a gunshot that resounded through the sky, Hu Yepin left, broken together with Ding Ling's initial love. The death of her lover made Ding Ling miserable. But she is strong as a man and never cries in front of outsiders. At that time, their children were just born. Without a pillar in the family, Ding Ling raised a young child by herself, running around for life inside and outside. Figure | Ding Ling and her son and mother soon after, a foreign reporter found Ding Ling and wanted to interview her. But they don't speak the same language. If they want to communicate smoothly, they naturally need to find an interpreter, and Feng Da is the translator they are looking for. Feng Da often visits Ding Ling, walks around with her, visits friends and helps Ding Ling get out of the grief of losing her lover. Feng Da's company made Ding Ling feel the bland warmth. Feng Da's tenderness surrounds Ding Ling like air. After a while, the two naturally came together and spent three years in peace. On May 14th, 1933, Feng Da told Ding Ling to leave home immediately if he didn't come home at midnight. Coincidentally, Ding Ling had not left after 12 o'clock because someone visited her that night. By 12 o'clock, Feng Da had just returned to his home and was arrested. It turned out that as soon as Feng Da went out, he was followed by the spy. As a result, both husband and wife went to prison. Ding Ling saw Feng Da enter the door with the spy and thought that she was arrested because of his informer. Feng Da swore to Ding Ling with tears in his eyes that he never betrayed her. Feng Da swore that Ding Ling had to believe him. But deep down, she still planted the seeds of doubt. After she was released from prison, she resolutely left Vonda. The woman was 13 years older than the man, which seemed unreasonable at that time. Chen Ming is too young after all. The ridicule of others makes him depressed, and the opposition of the people around him douses his enthusiasm for Ding Ling. The two had to part ways. However, during this period, Chen Ming's feelings for Ding Ling became deeper and stronger, and his strong love for Ding Ling made his hesitation and uncertainty disappear.
