A Jew who was born in a Nazi concentration camp later became a headmaster. When a new teacher comes to his school, he always tells them that he hopes. ...
I am a survivor of Nazi concentration camps. I saw with my own eyes what no one should have seen: learned engineers built gas chambers to kill the living, educated doctors poisoned children, properly trained nurses killed babies, and middle school students and college students shot and killed groups of women and children. So I have questions about education. My request is: help your students become people. Your efforts will not create learned demons, skilled psychopaths and educated Eichmann war criminals. Reading, writing and calculation are only important if they can help our children become human beings.
