Daughter of Time is an absolutely unprecedented and possibly unique book in the history of mystery novels, not because it is still voted as the first work of historical reasoning by the American Detective Writers Association (the second place is the famous work The Name of a Rose by Amboto Eco), but because of its unparalleled attempt, writing style and achievements. Generally speaking, historical reasoning is still a virtual way of romance.
