The statement that the natural gas valve should be closed after each use is told to me by the staff who come to my village to repair the natural gas every year, especially before going to bed at night, be sure to check whether the natural gas valve is closed.
As for the reason for this, the main reason is that the valve is not closed properly, and the valve passes through the cooker. If the gas pipe interface is unstable and the hose is damaged by aging, it may cause irreparable losses.
In addition to closing the natural gas valve after each cooking result, the following points should be noted: First, it is best not to install an electric socket at the natural gas valve, and some families who install valves in combined cabinets should also pay attention not to pile up sundries at the valve.
It is better to have a relatively empty place on the other side of the valve, so that even if natural gas leaks, it is not easy to gather into large gas.
In addition, if the natural gas valve is installed in a closed cabinet, at least one cabinet door should be opened when it is used to maintain good ventilation, and then the cabinet door should be closed after the natural gas is used up.
There are also some rural friends who use induction cookers and rice cookers in their kitchens. When installing the sockets of these kitchen appliances, you should keep a distance of at least 30 cm from the natural gas stove. Especially the range hood, the socket should be located on the upper side of the range hood and installed at a height of 70cm from the cooker.
Second, the kitchen where natural gas is installed in rural areas should have good ventilation conditions, and the wall materials of the kitchen should be made of refractory materials (special attention should be paid to the materials on the kitchen ceiling, and those flammable materials should never be used in the kitchen ceiling materials). The kitchen should also be equipped with sliding doors, which is to prevent gas from running into the living room and bedroom when natural gas leaks at night.
There are also rural families with firewood stoves at home. Don't put natural gas and wood stove in the same room. This is because when natural gas leaks, the firewood accumulated in the firewood stove and the sparks in the stove may quickly cause a fire.
Third, after installing natural gas in rural areas, many families will also buy natural gas water heaters for bathing. The valve on the other side of the natural gas water heater is also required to be closed after each use. Conditional can be like the city, the natural gas water heater installed outside the bathroom, which is safer.
If it can only be installed in the bathroom, it is necessary to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the installation position of the exhaust pipe should maintain good ventilation conditions. In addition, the exhaust pipe on the natural gas water heater should not be installed in the ceiling of the bathroom. If there is really no place to install it inside, remember to wrap 2cm thick noncombustible material on the smoke exhaust pipe as a heat insulation layer to avoid fire caused by overheating of the smoke exhaust pipe.
Self-inspection of natural gas leakage If there is an odor when using natural gas, do you know whether it is a leak or a gas that is not released in time after use? At this time, we can check ourselves in a very simple way.
Before cooking and taking a bath at night and getting ready for bed, close the valve, take a small notebook and record the number of meters on the gas meter, and check it when you get up the next morning. If the number of meters has not changed, there is no problem. If the meter number changes, call the person in charge of natural gas and ask them to send someone to check whether there is a gas leak.
According to my years of experience, natural gas leakage is usually caused by the use of pipelines, poor materials, long-term use, aging and other reasons. If you use special stainless steel bellows, it is relatively durable, but no matter what pipe is used, it is best to replace it regularly.
If the natural gas leaks and smells strong, don't panic to turn on the electric appliance or make a cell phone call. In order to prevent all operations that may cause sparks, first turn off the gas meter, open the doors and windows for ventilation, and then check whether the oven doors and valves are in good condition after the smell dissipates, and then notify people to repair them in the past.
